I am Dr Christine Day a Clinical Psychologist and Cognitive Analytic Therapy practitioner. I am available for Private work including Individual Therapy, Assessment, Consultation and Medico-Legal reports.
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist working for the NHS delivering individual therapy, supervision, consultation to support NHS services formulation and understanding of complex difficulties. My NHS role involves working with people during challenging transitions in their life. This includes complex difficulties such as trauma, loss and challenging relationships.
In my private practice I offer single appointments, assessments, consultation as well as individual therapy.
As a Clinical Psychologist I have specialist training with skills in a broader understanding of human behaviour, the impact of challenges and experiences on our wellbeing and mental health. Therapy is beneficial for many difficulties and a effective approach for people who want to make positive changes in their life. Therapy can result in your experiences making more sense, feeling calmer, improvements in your mood, relationships and general wellbeing.
I believe that for many reasons we can feel stuck and uncertain in our lives. Working together with someone to understand and make sense of our experiences can be the starting point of positive changes in our relationships with ourselves, those around us and our environment. Spending time with a Clinical Psychologist offers you a space to reflect and make sense of your experiences which can start you on a journey to make positive changes in your life. The benefits of engaging in a single consultation, assessment and/or therapy are the reasons I am very passionate about my role as a Clinical Psychologist and Therapist.
As a Clinical Psychologist I can offer an integrative psychological approach because of the diversity of my experience and training. This allows me to tailor therapy to you as an individual. I also offer 8, 16 and 24 sessions of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) which is wonderfully creative and relational approach to understanding your experiences and work towards some positive changes. In addition I also offer Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) for specific difficulties and Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT) if you would prefer a conversational model that allows you to develop the relationship between emotional and physical self bringing form to your experiences.
